Blog Fever

Sometimes you're just in the blogging mood, I guess. I personally believe this is brought on by having an English assignment that I do NOT care to do (annotated bibliography, anyone?), and therefore wasting my time by creeping around the internet, which leads me to finding awesome things which I am then basically obligated to post here.

1/ More Infographics
Ever since I was forced to flex my math-brain muscles with an infographic assignment, I've been ever-so-slightly obsessed with them.
This one, a look at discrepancies in the Bible, is pretty neat. Commissioned by Project Reason, via The Fast Company and I Love Charts

This lead me to look further into I Love Charts, where I found this lil gem, a chart of human sexuality/activity.
In related news, you may have noticed that this blog is run on Google's Blogspot. I Love Charts, however, is run on Tumblr (as are many other blogs I'm a fan of) and I wanted to follow them so I decided to just go ahead and create a Tumblr account...so there may be a change coming in the future. This might have to wait until I can take the time to code it myself (to impress any future employers who may be reading it) which really could take years.
Going forward...

2/ Harry Potter Weekend
Because I'm a giant weirdo, I watch Harry Potter whenever it's on TV (also almost any time it's gloomy, aka harry potter weather, and sometimes I listen to the books on CD for no reason at all) and this weekend happens to be one of ABC Families frequent "Harry Potter Weekends." So obviously I'm watching some HP this morning, and Neville Longbottom comes on my tv screen to introduce a clip and turns out lil Neville (real name Matt Lewis) is a smokin hottie. See bellow.

I would NOT kick that out of my bed. Call me!

Just Look

Since my last post was pretty word-intensive, I've decided to try to balance it out with one full of pictures of things I've liked recently.
Enjoy!

Boots and (well-dressed) Babies

Fur-Collar Coats

Plaid Shoulder Bag

Canadian Animals

Beer and Hotdogs

Something Swedish

I think it's safe to say I have little to no idea what's going on here (all I can really make out is design, trend, and Swedish Ninja). But as you can tell from the close-up, an adorable Swedish man is involved (feel free to learn fluent English and call me up!)

Halloween!

All I really wanted out of this Halloween was to wear a jumpsuit. A onesie. Really, I just wanted my shirt to be the same garment as my pants. And I thought Kigu was the answer.

Awesome, right?
One piece, check. Hood with eyes and teeth, check. Tail, check.
Everything a girl could ask for, right?
WRONG! I would also ask that it not cost over 90 USD (with shipping), which it does, and that is because it has to come from the UK.
COME ON, AMERICA. GET WITH THE PROGRAM
and start making adult-size, one-piece animal costumes for "for fancy dress parties and festivals...and they make great pyjamas too"

Hopes and dreams dashed, I had to move onto Plan B. And then I also had to think of a new Halloween costume. (Get it? PLAN B? Birth control!?)
Here are my thoughts:

Lumberjack
Going as a Lumberjack has many upsides:
- I would get to wear plaid. Plaid on plaid on plaid.
- I can later wear that plaid in my daily life. Dual purpose.
- I'm looking to attract a male lumberjack. What better way to catch one than with a decoy?
How would I pull this off?
1. PLAID
Both at the same time? Probably.

2. Boots

3. Axe (and holster)

Kinda love this. Via The Inspiration.

Grapes
So, I may have gotten this idea from American Apparel

But to be fair, they obviously ripped it off from me,
circa pre-school.
How precious.

The pros of being grapes:
- Tights as pants (ok, maybe leggings)
- Sweater. Warmth.

Cons:
- Wearing balloons all over your body

However, if I were small enough to fit in this, I would be A FOX!

I ALMOST FORGOT!!

I Bet You've Missed Me...

...because I haven't posted in over a week. But hey, it was Fall Break so get off my back.
The important thing is, I'm here now (at work) and I'm getting this blogging thing done.

You Are Welcome.

I wear a medium, and I'll take one. Thanks.

Things I Learn at the Movies

So awhile ago I meant to post about the film When Harry Met Sally  because, well, it's a GREAT movie, but also because I kind of wanted to steal all of Sally's clothing. (Especially at the beginning when she is wearing denim shorts, loafers, a button-up, and a blue cardigan, and we all know how amazing loafers and cardigans are. Plus, her hair is awesome.)
What's NOT to love about this??
Anywhoser, that's really all I wanted to say about Harry and Sally, but last night I went to see a newww movie (Going the Distance) and I had a similar reaction. I want to live in Drew Barrymore's wardrobe (minus the camouflage pants and bow-tie necklace).
loose-fitting tees
knotted chain necklace
slouchy trousers
crisp blazers

And that enormous bag she was toting around as an intern? I rulllly want it. I think that might have been the first thing I said about the movie. Other things I loved about the movie? Well let me tell you...

1/ The Boxer Rebellion
I'm not really sure how I missed these guys before, but they're rul good.
And pretty adorable.

2/ Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day
I think most of you know that I am in love with Charlie Day. I shouldn't have to explain why.

What you may not know, because I just recently found out myself, is that I have a similar love for Jason Sudeikis. Except really my attraction to Jason Sudeikis is more sexual, and my love for Charlie Day is like I would want to keep him as a pet. Mostly, I think I'm in lust with Jason Sudeikis's mustache.

3/ That fine British man
Oliver Jackson-Cohen
This really is my only discrepancy with the movie: How did Drew Barrymore's character NOT fuck the shit out of this guy? He's hot and British. Duh.

On a more personal note:
I just bought my first, very own pair of haram pants and I believe they have opened the floodgates. I now want more and more and more of them. Also I'm going to need to invest in some moderately comfortable heels to accessorize them with, and possibly some new tees. Preferable with sparkly adornments.
Also:
I just finished my very first editions of my very first linoleum cut prints and will hopefully be sharing them with my readership of two allll you lovely people who read this junk.
